Am planning a tour of Scotland, dates as above.
Will be exploring the coast between Wick and Ullapool via Thurso,Tongue,Scourie during the above week and wondered if anyone could recommend a session or folk culb en route (ish) to visit.

P.S. A culb is the same as a club!!

Try calling Hamish at the Craggan Hotel in Melness (near Tongue) - he can tell you if anything's happening - they often have music at the weekend.

September 20th Invercharron Highland Games at Balblair, which is about 4 miles north of Bonar Bridge on the Lairg Road. Sutherland Folk festival I'm afraid finishes around about the 19th.
