Subject: RE: Hollow Shore Folk and Ale From: GUEST Date: 04 Jul 04 - 07:09 PM I thought the pub couldn't get use of the field for camping so the event was cancelled. |

Subject: RE: Hollow Shore Folk and Ale From: The Barden of England Date: 05 Jul 04 - 06:46 PM It's a shame, but Hollow Shore has not happened these last 2 years. The guy who owned the surrounding fields, as well as the pub, up and died and his wife, who hated all things 'PLEB' couldn't stand the thought of people camping on what was now her land, and those nasty caravans being within her sight, so the tenant of the pub had to cancel. His loss of turnover was around £20,000, but I expect the Bitch Queen still wanted her tythe!! The Normans have so much to answer for. |
