This is the latest installment in my Shameless 'Sis Protmotion, but I was doing some surfing today and found that Susan's ('Catter Susanl) CD was reviewed in Sing Out! in the Summer.

There was also a review at CD Baby with some sound clips.

I just saw Susan Latimer play on Friday at a great show at Hugh's Room (in Toronto) called "Girls do Boys" (8 female singers performing songs by their favorite male songwriters). She did a superb job on Dylan's "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" and "Meet Me in the Morning".

Susan is a very fine performer. Susan, I'm the guy from Orillia with all the harmonicas in the leather pouch. Also saw you recently at the Braedley's house concert there.

Don,

I'll pass it along. Thanks.

Little Hawk,

I wish I could have made that show. She told me that she was going to do her arrangement of "Million Miles" from Time Out Of Mind. She does a number of Dylan covers, usually pretty much at the tempo that Bob did them. I love her uptempo arrangement of Million Miles. His version is one of my favourite songs on that CD, Susan's gives it a different life.

That would be really interesting, Steve. I hope I get to hear her version of it soon.

I saw this other young woman there named Pamela Brennan, and she did a marvelous job on 2 songs by Marvin Gaye. I first saw Pamela a few years back at a club in Toronto called "Vox", and on that occasion she did a performance of "El Preso Numero Nueve" that was stunning! (it was recorded in the 60's by Joan Baez)

Watch for Pamela. She is a great young performer. She used to belong to a band from Montreal called "Hennesey", but the band is no more.
