Looking for fellow folkies to sing with in the NYC area.

I would especially like to get together with some folks around New Years.

Please email me at landsmana@usa.net.

Click here for our thread on song circle locations. None listed in New York - maybe somebody here will come up with an idea for you, or invite you to Connecticut or something....

Landsman - check out the NJ and CT references in that thread. Also look up Pinewoods Folk Music Society in NYC - I think they share quarters with CDSS the Country Dance and Song Society. Also Folk Phones for NYC and Northern NJ Folk Music Society & Folk Project (of course they are not listed in the newsletter in which I looked for them). There is a New Year's Eve sing in Princeton and one in Monmouth County NJ on Jan 2. E-mail me for details digitrad2@sprintmail.com or better yet Dick, if you do so this weekend, since we will be at his house this weekend - digitrad@world.std.com

Every success with the Singers Circle Landsman.
Please let us know the venue and time when you are up and running. I'll be to NY from Ireland time to time in the new year and I'd love to visit - if I'm allowed.

Happy Christmas.

Hey Landsman!

You should just join the Pinewoods club. They have 2 open sings a month on Wednesdays: a "Folk Sing" on 1st Wednesday in the Park Slope district of Brooklyn - info 718-636-6341, and a "Traditional Open Mike" on the 3rd Wednesday of each month in the Tribeca district in Manhattan - info 212-274-1636.

Pinewoods membership director is Anne Price: 718-543-4971.

As previously announced here, the Irish Arts Center will have a Singers' Circle following the Irish Song Course on Thursdays 21JAN - 11MAR; starts at 7PM. We will repair to a music session in a bar afterwards.

All the best,
Dan
