just wondering how many 'hits' this thread will get. On the Charlie Gillett 'sound of the world' forum it got loads.

Although on relection I can't remember whether 'hits' are registerd here at Mudcat.

Hi, Mr Forster sir, please PLEASE P-L-E-A-S-E send me new remix of Chaiya Chaiya Bollywood Joint as featured in otherwise poor Spike Lee film! I hear you are very generous with your MP3s. I even heard said song last night in a DJ set by Mr Charlie Gillett who hobbled down to the Darbucka Club, Clerkenwell, just to play it. Mr G is looking well, and the song got people dancing.

PS to anyone who doesn't know what this is all about, this song has become a bit of a (sub-)cultural phenomenon, with requests for it reaching Guinness Book of Records proportions. Maybe not-really-a-guest will explain more.....

Did a search with the title and mp3 and found a download right away. No way to know if that's the one you want, of course, but the site appeared to be in Hindi.
