Subject: RE: Req: ee cummings-the boys i mean are not refined From: mack/misophist Date: 02 Feb 07 - 07:50 PM I have a hunch there's a context to this. Does any one know it? Such as, 'what boys does he mean anyway?' |

Subject: RE: Req: ee cummings-the boys i mean are not refined From: Charley Noble Date: 02 Feb 07 - 09:47 PM Well, that's one I wasn't familar with. Thanks! My best guess of "who the boys are" in this poem is that they're a bunch of lads who went to an all male college in the 1960's as I did. What a weird distorted institution we found ourselves in. It's a miracle we were able to reintegrate ourselves back into society. Charley Noble |
