Subject: RE: Music You Have To Dance To? From: Mary in Kentucky Date: 17 Feb 02 - 09:43 PM This is more of a N'awlins Strut than dance, but it gets you moving...When the Saints Go Marching In...They use this on Bourbon Street to get folks into the bars. |
Subject: RE: Music You Have To Dance To? From: Jerry Rasmussen Date: 17 Feb 02 - 10:22 PM My Father's nickname for me when I was a kid was "Slewfoot." I guess that pretty much sums up my dancing ability. But as an ancillary topic... not to unravel the thread... there is plenty of music I have to move to. Just don't get near my feet. And when we're singing or playing music, there are some songs I could not sing if I was required to stand still. Black gospel has finally loosened up my old Danish-Lutheran bones. I don't think a sound would come out of my mouth if you tied me to a post. Jerry |
Subject: RE: Music You Have To Dance To? From: Hrothgar Date: 18 Feb 02 - 01:41 AM I must be doing the wrong kind of dancing. To hell with this disco crap, the Coalbrook Band down in Newcastle do a superb waltz arrangement of "Plaisir d'Amour." Does this leave me as the only one in step? |
