Daft as it may sound now, the British royal family issues could have a direct bearing here.

The Andrew formerly known as Prince could well be proven to be guilty of crimes associated with Epstein. If that does happen there will be a knock on effect to Trump. The British royal family may not have much power or influence nowadays but they were one of the most predominant families in the world for a long time. If they cannot cover this up, I doubt if anyone can. Including the turnip.

As for the BBC, look on the bright side. When they make an error of judgement, they own up to it and take the consequences. The direct opposite of Trump and his cronies.

Also, the words were Trump's words, not AI generated. It was the piecing together of two parts of one speech which created the problem. Trump said those words and should take responsibility for his actions but he chooses to blame everyone else but himself. He never owns up to his own actions or errors of judgement.

What goes around, comes around. My bet is that he won't get away with all of this, and when it all comes back to bite him ... well, I can't wait to see that.

Quite a few of them agreed, though it wasn't legal and those that fought back and sued still have the privilege of work with the Justice Dept. without the huge donation to Trump's pet projects. Regarding his recent pardons, I read an article which said that many of them were state-based cases so his pardons for them mean nothing in the real world. They have no effect in the real world if they are not related to state cases because the President can only issue pardons on Federal cases.

My upbringing and reality are slightly different from many here because starting at age 3, I was among survivors of the Nazi holocaust and saw with my eyes the video of the crimes against humanity at age 5 when Eisenhower broadcast Nazi camp films on TV. My first association with what bulldozers can push is different from yours.

I saw a story yesterday about training in South Carolina in various churches, sponsored by a group that was founded in 2017 in the first Trump administration. They were prescient, knowing the day would come when these forms of civil disobedience and peaceful resistance would be necessary.

How much more does he need to overstep the bounds of the Constitution before he is properly held to account?

I see the sheepdogs rounding him up, tighter and tighter into the middle of the field, but it is going very slowly and there appears to be no clarity in the probable outcome. He could just as easily jump the fence and escape into the countryside. Hopefully the Epstein files will provide more power to the various sheepdogs.

Nixon checked out of the White House only when enough Republicans had deserted his sinking ship, and leadership told him his support was down to 16-18 in the Senate. Apparently we are a long way from there, but I do wonder what the current count is.
