The Big Session Festival in Leicester takes place next weekend, Friday to Sunday

Away from the headliners and on home turf, Norcsalordie will try to make the transition from duo to five piece when they appear on the Session Stage on Saturday evening at 8.30 They will be launching their new CD "Post to Pillar" which with one exception is exclusively their own material. They will be joined by Lisa Banks who sings on 'The Raven Headed Lass'

we would LOVE to go to the big session but they don't allow dogs on the campsite, not sure why. i always thought that they used the park opposite demonfort hall but maybe i am wrong.is there an overflow campsite where the dogs would be, if not welcome then at least tolerated?

I think they use the college grounds just across the road to the west of DeMontfort Hall. Security in Victoria Park would be nigh impossible.

I don't know of any other campsites nearby - hope you can work something out Jade

Isnt 'Big Session' a bit of a misnomer ? Its a Concert set up , NOT a Session !

The festival was borne out of Oysterband's Big Session albums and tours, hence the name.

I beleive there will be opportunities for sessions by people who want to play (like most festivals), and concerts for people who want to listen to music.
