Subject: Tune Req: What is the guitar tune? From: GUEST,emmettfriar Date: 10 May 26 - 06:30 AM Asked about the flute man a while back and got an answer, thanks for that. Now asking about a guitar tune, this one also sounds vaguely familiar but can't figure it out, help wanted https://voca.ro/1b6edZu0vKMs |

Subject: RE: Tune Req: What is the guitar tune? From: Helen Date: 10 May 26 - 11:33 AM GUEST,emmettfriar, I listened to the tune but I found it difficult to hear a distinct melody. I could hear a rhythmic pattern which reminded me of Latin American music. Is this tune from an animated computer game like your last musical mystery request? Tune Req: What is the flute man playing? Could you give us some more information about the tune and how you heard it, please? |

Subject: RE: Tune Req: What is the guitar tune? From: Helen Date: 10 May 26 - 12:17 PM This song just came into my head: Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious from the movie Mary Poppins. (The song starts at 30 seconds into the video.) It has a repetitive melody with the funny break "um diddle um diddle um diddle ay". It may not be the song you are looking for, but sometimes my brain goes off on a strange tangent in an effort to solve the puzzle. |

Subject: RE: Tune Req: What is the guitar tune? From: GUEST,emmettfriar Date: 10 May 26 - 09:00 PM Unfortunately don't remember where it's from, just found the audio file on my PC, it was in a folder with a bunch of other trad tunes played on various instruments Most of others either had names already or I could figure out myself, but this one's the only one I don't know |

Subject: RE: Tune Req: What is the guitar tune? From: Helen Date: 10 May 26 - 10:06 PM Just to explain, the repetitious notes of the guitar music reminded me of supercalifragilisticexpialidocious - sheet music When I played music with my friends on Celtic harp I mostly played the accompaniment to their melody instruments, i.e. chords and rhythm. The notes of the supercali.. song remind me very much of that type of accompaniment and lines 1, 2 and 5 of the music notation go up and down between a very small number of notes. Your guitar piece has a similar sound to me. I really do have trouble isolating a melody from the guitar piece. |
