when I was home I went to a disco (admittedly it was a "bad taste" disco.... but it wasn't all bad because they played "Shang-a-lang" by the Bay City Rollers!!)

but what they did play was a techno version of the "Fields of Athenry".... instrumental.... and I think it was by a group called The Cox Crew.

they also played a disco version of "I'll tell my ma"... which I was told made it into the UK charts maybe last year by a group called "Shamrock"

anyone know where I can find either of these records, they were great in a bizarre sort of way...... I mean how often do you see an entire dance floor pogo-ing as they sing "Low lie the fields of Athenry".....

In case I don't find my Athenry cd soon enough, it can be bought here! But I have the ShamRock cd in my hand at this minute!
