Lyr Req: Rocky Raccoon (Lennon/McCartney)

Subject: HELP!!! Need name of unknown song!!

It would be a shot in the dark if anyone can help me figure out the name of this old 70's song. It probably was played on AM. It was a slower guitar-folk song, slow like Lou Reed's Walk on the Wild Side. But the only childhood memory of the song that I have were the lyrics, "Book of Gideon" or "Book by Gideon". If anyone can help, it would definitely help me sleep better. Thanks.

I'm thinking about this one - just a glimmer at the moment. You would get more response if you put "Book of Gideon" in the thread title!
