Subject: Small pipe ornimentation From: smallpiper Date: 15 Aug 02 - 03:42 PM A friend of mine is planning to write a book on ornimentaion currently in use on the smallpipes. Any one like to contribute by saying how and what they do? Also anyone tell me how to cran? |

Subject: RE: Small pipe ornimentation From: John Routledge Date: 15 Aug 02 - 03:58 PM The latest reprint of Volume One of the Norhumbrian Pipers Society Tunebook has removed the vast majority of ornamentation from the notation to give the piper more freedom - but not necessarily more ornamentation :0) May be able to provide more info later. Subject: RE: Small pipe ornimentation From: fogie Date: 16 Aug 02 - 06:07 AM I think the Gallecian pipes have the best ornamentation, very few others take the time and effort to beautify their pipes, unless you count those tartan tassles on war-pipes :-) |
