Just a head's up that fine singer and multi-instrumentalist Hilary James will be joining us live on our online British folk music radio show, Cool as Folk.

We'll play a few tracks from across her career and chat about her music, her new album 'Laughing with the Moon' and her role as head of the folk society at Reading Uni back in the seventies. If you don't know Hilary's work, she is a fine singer who's work encompasses blues, bluegrass and children's song as well as folk song from Britian, Ireland and America. She performs with mandolinist Simon Mayor, both as a duo and as half of the Mandolinquents. Check out www.acousticsrecords.co.uk for more details.

Cool as Folk is broadcast online live on Tuesdays 9-10pm at www.1287am.com on Reading's Junction 11. The show is archived, so you can listen to it for a week after it first goes out. All the details can be found here .

That looks well worth catching - I have been well aware of Hilary (and) Simon back as far as the days of Spredthick .

Correction!!!!!!!!...That should be 10 - 11pm...

(but tune in at nine anyway and you can hear Chris's 'Random Noises' which is a really good show too!)
