I have been visiting this site for nigh on 26 years and there was most likely never a time that I did not think of Joe Offer because of all he has done to keep this treasure trove of musical history as a invaluable repository of worldwide creative and multicultural musicianship.

All the best from Down Here, Joe. My "takeaways" from my quadruple eight years ago are - follow the rehab procedures rigouously and assiduously, and don't be in a rush to get home....

Best wishes.
We have a phrase that is very apt that comes from our Sheffield Carols group that gather at The George at Upper Denby: "Don't rush it!".

We should all be as diligent about monitoring our insides.

Glad to hear your procedure went well.

I'll dedicate a song to you at our pub sing this evening.

Cheerily,

Joe posted on Facebook this morning: he has been moved from hospital to a “rehab care home”: quote marks used as he is plainly unhappy about understaffing leading to substandard care and deficiencies in rehab. He was talking about starting a rebellion! That sounds like our Joe!

So I'm beginning my second week at Sacramento Rehabilitation Hospital.
I have earned a reasonable amount of freedom, and I know the staff pretty well. I get three hours of physical and occupational therapy per day, and almost all of the therapists are excellent.
I was supposed to have speech therapy but I flunked out because I have no speech problems. But the speech the speech therapist gave me the Donald J Trump cognitive test, with the same pictures and questions Trump described. It was a challenging test, but fun.
So far, so good.
Thanks for all the good wishes.
