Meixner & BWL,

The NAIA is urging artists to participate in this survey.

It will end up being anonymous, and I think that, properly analyzed, it could be a really valuable insight into art fairs -- their future and potential.

I filled it out and it didn't take too long and didn't ask anything I was too uncomfortable answering.

Done. Pretty painless other than that question about "How often do you leave your partner in charge if the booth while you wander off and find some other fool with a guitar to jam with?"

Thanks.

What're partners for?

(btw -- found a pretty darn good-sounding Kentucky A style for under $400 to take on the road. I'm hoping to buy one by the end of August after Madison, Ann Arbor, and Uptown. It actually, unlike the other Kentuckys I've tried in the past, sounded like a mandolin).

Hey, if you get up to Amish Acres again this summer, you oughta stop in on my friend Jim Shenk in Goshen. I'm hoping to sell my HD28 and have him build me a guitar next year.

Just saw Don made a rare appearance in the Mallett thread. Worth a bump

Serious segue here: John Hardly, Shenk is an Amish name. Is he still Amish? Doesn't seem likely since he's in business making guitars, but the economic situation for the Amish has changed a lot from when I was a kid so he may be.

FWIW, I'd guess that he gives good value.

From what I understand, his parents still are. He left LONG ago. He's a tremendous craftsman. I wrote a tiny bit about him here.

Thanks John

Taken care off. They left out the bit about What do you do when the promoter splits with the proceeds and the park operator and Sheriff shows up at 2:00pm on Saturday to shut the show down.

Don
