Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Come on Silverbird (Jack Skinner) From: Vixen Date: 06 Sep 07 - 08:16 AM Wow...nearly 12 hours!!! This must be an obscure one! I know it's not "traditional folk," (by which I mean centuries old by an unknown author), but this is the place that turned up the lyrics to "Backing to Birmingham" in a matter of minutes! I'm still searching at my end, but no luck yet. V |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Come on Silverbird (Jack Skinner) From: Peace Date: 06 Sep 07 - 02:07 PM I have been having a look. Have you tried Youtube? I am finding no lyrics on the www. Do you know any of the lyrics at all? |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Come on Silverbird (Jack Skinner) From: Vixen Date: 07 Sep 07 - 10:49 AM Well I've checked youtube for "silver bird" and "silverbird" and got lots of hits, but none seems to be the right one. I don't know the lyrics--I'm asking for one of my husband's bandmates who was trying to remember it the other night. I'll see if he can give me enough of a verse or chorus to post. My husband, the estimable Reynaud, is looking through his vinyl to see if he's got it somewhere (this could take days...he has a lot of albums!) Thanks much! V |
