Subject: Open mic night in Queenstown NZ From: GUEST,Mad jock Date: 29 Mar 19 - 02:55 AM The Sherwood Hotel in Queenstown NZ has a great open mic night in a quaint venue in the hotel complex. It is held on the last Thursday of the month and attracts a high standard of musicians and singers. They particularly want to encourage Original Material to be performed and include the spoken word so poetry and rap may be involved. We even had a MAGICIAN do a spot Angie Wright sang a few of her songs to a great audience. If in NZ be sure to seek it out. |

You can take the girl out of Ireland but you cannot take the Irish out the girl. Or something like that. But a pub called Pog Mahon??? |

Subject: RE: Open mic night in Queenstown NZ From: GUEST,Mike Yates Date: 07 Apr 19 - 07:50 AM Not really relevant, but - is there still a sign in Queenstown bearing the words 'Cemetery Road' to which is added a second sign which reads 'No Exit'. I was laughing all day when I saw this a few years ago. |
