Sorry to hear of Hugh's passing, which I learned of here. Always enjoyed his calling at Haddenham Ceilidhs and elsewhere.

Not just Hammersmith Morris but Herga Morris too - Hugh was their first foreman - and Earlsdon, once he moved from London to the Midlands.

I well remember Hugh Rippon from my time living in London. His passing is a sad loss. My condolences to all who know and love him. He has earned his place in the Mudcat "In Memoriam" thread. (I'm sure they have dances and Morris sides in heaven.)

As a dance band musician, I worked with him a handful of times, years ago. Always an enjoyable experience.
