Lyr Req: songs by Jody Stecher

Does anyone know of any Web sites where I can find Lyrics to some of Jodys songs from either the older albums or the newer albums like Heart song: the Utah Phillips collection or the Wind and rain (11 ballads CD's) for example.

Any info would be much appreciated as we're a long way from the musical action here in Australia.

I'm also looking for Jody Stecher lyrics. We have one of his early albums, recorded in the seventies about the time I saw him at the fiddle festival in CLoverdale, California.I don't think he was very well known then, but I was captured from the start. He was my mandolin teacher for a while in there. The album is Jody Stecher and Friends on Bay Records. The particular song is "Leila, Leila" I have the recordin storage in the USA, but here I am in the middle of the Middle Kingdom. No Jody Stecher here if it doesn't come from Mudcat! Thanks a lot for the link Karolina. We just got this CD from Amazon.com its great! Jody's version of Gypsy Davey is the first cab off the rank to start playing.

Seth, we also just got a reissue of Jody's early stuff, Going Up the Mountain + Snake Bakes a hoedown etc. Have only just heard Leila, Leila for the first time this week as a result. Have listened closely and would love to have a copy of those lyrics if you have 'em on computer.

Great to hear there's a few more Jody fans out there.

No, I was hoping YOU had it! I'm in Luoyang, China till June, all my records are in storage in Olympia, Washington So I'm still trying to get all the words to Leila, Leila (Not that there are a lot of words in the song!)

We are just in the process of moving house. so thngs are getting packed up at present. If you dont mind I should be able to copy the song and convert to an MP3 to help you out as long as you have no issues re the morality of copying. I'm sure Jody would understand the predicament.
