Anybody have the lyrics to this one?

I heard it 10-15 years ago on a album by Williams and Ree (a nightclub comedy act that used humorous songs as part of their act)

The song is about some guy who dies in a car wreck because he is too busy eating Ding-Dongs.

These guys are hilarious.......saw them years ago in Blackfoot, Idaho, before they were famous. Probably going to have to find somebody with the album to transcribe lyrics. No joy finding W & R lyrics on line. They are still performing, though, and there is an e mail contact at their site. Just search for Williams and Ree.

I found a sound file at the Williams & Ree site, so I transcribed it:

THE DING-DONG SONG
(Bruce Williams and Terry Ree)

[A] He was eatin' Twinkies as he drove along the highway
Listnin' to the DJ play Hank Thompson and his band.
He didn't see the semi as he came around the corner,
And he died with his Ding-Dong in his hand.
[B] Yes, he died with his Ding-Dong in his hand.
He scattered cream-filled cupcakes 'cross the land.
One of life's great big no-no's: he was reachin' for his Ho-Hos,
And he died with his Ding-Dong in his hand.

[A] There was a country singer who was eatin' Zingers
As he sang with a red-hot country band.
The band was really smokin' as the singer started chokin',
And he died with his Ding-Dong in his hand.
[B] Yes, he died with his Ding-Dong in his hand.
The last song he sang was really grand.
Oh, he thought he was the mostest till he bit that big black Hostess,
And he died with his Ding-Dong in his hand.
[B] Yes, he died with his Ding-Dong in his hand.
He scattered cream-filled cupcakes 'cross the land.
Well, I hope and I pray that when I reach that fateful day,
I will die with a great big humongous Ding-Dong… or real large Susie-Q… maybe some of them powdered doughnuts that they leave out on the shelf for about three years… in my hand.

[Note: The "A" part of the tune sounds a lot like "The Wreck of the Old 97" and the "B" part sounds a lot like "She'll Be Comin' 'Round the Mountain."

[Williams & Ree's web site calls the song simply "Ding-Dong" but several other web sites, e.g. playlists of various radio programs, call it "The Ding-Dong Song."

[Recorded by Williams & Ree on "Live."]

Scans a bit like 'May the Bird of Paradise fly up your nose'
