Any news on this session? i believe there has been something like this run in the past years at the Whittington and cat public house. Is it happening this year at same venue or elsewhere?

is it the shanty festival already? I saw a load of folkies in that pub near the island in 'tother side of t' marina one year but they moved on by 8-30

We're not really sure about an anti-shanty this year. I'll have a word with people tomorrow afternoon and see who's up for it. I've had a word with Scottie in the Minerva and he's happy for us to use one of his rooms. So any anti-shanty will likely be in the Minerva or in the Whittington and Cat.

if a shanty collides with an anti-shanty, are they both destroyed in a flash of sub-atomic random notes? Do nearby observers need to wear protective ear plugs?

I believe from the latest info thatthe anti-shanty is likely to be in the Minerva.
