Well the main threads too long for me to read and I'm frustrated. Has it been solved yet? I think N is New Mown Hay. I'm getting nowhere with French animals.

Greg

I think I've made an unwarranted assumption with V. Normally I spend quite a long time checking up on the clues for the quizzes I do. The song I was looking for was Vive L'Amour which is a standard version of "The Animals Went in Two by Two with the chorus from the French drinking son of the same name.

Your N is correct.

With apologies
Ian

Interesting. Not everything in the world is on computers. I know the song perfectly well, but "the animals went in two by two vive la compagnie" doesnt get any hits on a yahoo search.

Whilst everything isn't available on the 'net, this is. You're just asking the wrong question....

geg:VIVE L'AMOUR is here,with a thread showing Extra Verseshere.
Vive la compagnie is (in this case) only the last line of the main chorus, and 2nd & 4th line of each verse

Nigel

(This entry labelled Add: as I didn't flag the added verse in the other thread.)

Thanks Nigel. As far as I know there are three standard "Animals went in two by two versions. The one based on Vive la Compagnie(Amour, plus the "Johnny Comes marching home" one and the "One more river" one. I have experienced all at various campfires, school singsongs ete etc.
