Subject: Tech: Listening to BBC - help From: Peterr Date: 22 Mar 03 - 06:10 AM Having just discovered how to listen to BBC on the net, (ie loaded RealPlayer, activated it, etc) I can get the regular shows, but have failed to understand the one-offs, specifically Place Called England. The graphic comes up with pix of Carthy et al but where do I go to get the thing to play? Please can someone help, as there's 4 1/2 hours listening to get in before Wednesday. |
Subject: RE: Tech: Listening to BBC - help From: Roger the Skiffler Date: 22 Mar 03 - 06:40 AM BBC admit to some problems with ListenAgain. Paul Jones show wasn't available last week but is back again this week. I was told by beeb info. line that war reports would result in ListenAgain being abandoned to secure bandwidth. RtS |
Subject: RE: Tech: Listening to BBC - help From: GUEST,.gargoyle Date: 22 Mar 03 - 12:02 PM You may want to disconnect the RNDAL features of RealPlayer. They will slow down the computer's performance in all areas as RealPlayer keeps trying to "phone home" (24/7) and send a report of where it has been and what it has been doing.
Sincerely, Truly enjoying the BBC coverage of the war - for another perspective I would also suggest http://www.arabnews.com |
