I need help finding this fine site. I had it bookmarked, but lost it while changing computers and cannot find it with search engines. It's a very good collection of jazz standards, with chord charts, sheet music, lyrics and MIDIs. It even transposes to different keys. If anyone uses it or can find it, I'd sure appreciate your help.

I had bookmarked a site called Online Jazz Songbook—the URL is http://home.wanadoo.nl/atte/songbook/— but I now find that the site no longer exists. When the site was up, I remember it warned us that it may not be around long and advised us to download all the material. Fortunately, I did.

If this is the site you're looking for, I think everything was generated from the ABC+ source using server-side scripts. What I saved was the ABC+ source for the tunes. If you care to join Mudcat and send me a private message (PM) we can discuss ways of getting the archived material to you. You'll need the free ABC+ tools which are discussed in threads here in great detail.

Sounds like the place. I was a member once, but the cookie somehow crumbled. I will pursue that, thought, and appreciate your offer.

I thought your handle looked familiar. Just hit the Quick Links dropdown menu at the top of the page and choose Login. It will give you a chance to reset your cookie or, if you've forgotten it, get your password sent to you.

You may enjoy a look at the Jazz Improvization Primer http://www.outsideshore.com/primer/primer/

Its lessons are universal.

GUEST, Thanks for the link to the Real Book chord progressions. I have a couple of the old "Real Book" fake books but the Real Book chord charts are good to find.

Gargoyle, Thanks for the link to Marc Sabatella's Jazz Improvization Primer. Another great resource for taking our musicianship one step farther.

I managed to supply Gern with the Jazz Songbook information and links to the ABC software needed to view and print it. Perhaps he will come back here and let us know how he's doing.
