I finally have a picture of the emblem on the banjo we are trying to identify. Can anyone help with the name of the manufacturer of this piece?

That looks like one of those little plastic disk things that you would put in a 45 rpm record hole so it would play on a 33 rpm spindle.

To me it just looks like one of the types of between-fret position markers.
Nice looking carved head though !
