This Is My House

This is my house, and its filled up with light
And it shines through the day as it shines throught the night
So I'm happy to say: "this is my house"

Inside my house I have paintings and sculptures
That tell of the wonders that blaze throught the ages
So it is lovely to say: "this is my house"

My house is filled with light, my house is home (x2)

This is my house rained in garlands of dreams
That I've kept to myself 'til I'm sure of the one
Oh step into my house, (make yourself at home)

My house is filled with light, my house is home (x2)

This is my house, and its filled up with light
And it shines through the day as it shines throught the night
So I'm happy to say: "this is my house"

My house is filled with light, my house is home (x2)

Geoff,

many thanks from me. You did get the tape quickly.
(I know that song from an old LP from the Johnstons)

According to my research, the song is called MY HOUSE. It was written by someone named Sarstedt, and recorded by The Johnstons on their album "Both Sides Now," 1969.

That wouldn't be Peter Sarstedt, would it?

The Johnstons on the LP attribute it to 'unknown'.

Yes, it's Peter Sarstedt. The recording is included on volume 50 of The Lost Jukebox CD Series. Would you believe there are 130 CDs in the series?
