Just got home from StortFolk - Touchwood's harmonies a welcome surprise & a good complement to Cloudstreet - the Aussies are taking over this summer!

Even better - two of the trio are catters. (where was McGrath, they asked?)

Catch them in Monmouth tomorrow, Tolpuddle festival on 16th, Oxford 20th, Gloucester 21st, Leamington Spa 22nd, Edgmond 23rd, Hoy at Anchor 27th & York on 29th. Well worth making the effort.

Hi Callie and Chicky, and of course Terry, and Miguel. I hope you're having a fantastic time. I'm sure you are. Us Aussies are taking over the world - mwuhahahahahahaha!!

I can most definitely recommend Touchwood - a very interesting repertoire, and lovely harmonies. Make sure you catch them somewhere. They have CD's too!

The Aussie invasion continues. Margaret Walters has been over there, and soon you'll have freda underhill - pretty soon there'll be no-one left here :-(    I just wish I could make the trip too. I particularly wish I could make Tolpuddle. Oh well, maybe in the next couple of years, if I save my pennies...

The Ausies have def. landed - so far this year we've seen Margaret, Cloudstreet, Cath Mundy (and her kookaburra) & Touchwood. Not a Waltzing Matilda between them - and all stunning performers!

more Aussies to look out for -

The Fagan Family (often called the Fabulous Fagans) - Bob & Margaret & their daughter Kate, son James & his partner Nancy Kerr. Wonderful music, songs harmony etc.

I put up a thread about 3 weeks ago, before my dear little laptop went to be upgraded, but it also broke, too. Tonight is my real first night back - last night all I could get was a bit of Mudcat, tonight I've been reading mail & seeing how little of my holdings still exist. Anyway, more of it can be chased up in the future.

I'll try & find the original thread as it has an itinery (where's spellcheck?)

I also highly recommend Touchwood - their arrangements are wonderful, their harmonies beautiful, and they sing a range of songs that will move you, make you laugh, entrance you!
