As part of the forthcoming Sheffield Festival there will be an Irish Session on Saturday 30th October at 8.00pm in Kelham Island Tavern

The Tavern is just outside the city centre and close to other festival venues if you are doing other things during the day. It serves some of the best beer in Yorkshire - I can particularly recomend the Brewers Gold.

The session will be mainly tunes with the odd song.

Look forward to seeing you there.

Julie

Checked out their website, which has a link to various SFF venues, but not the Kelham Island Tavern.

However, a Google search yielded the KI Tavern website which has a link to their location.

Thanks Vikki you bet me to it.

Wee Drummer Boy, Pat's in concert at the Kelham Island Museum that night just round the conrner from the session. It would be great if we could keep the ession going and perhaps manage to pull in some of the concert people afterwards. Pushing it a bit time wise as the concerts down to finish at 11.

I think I can see where the confusion is :

kelham island Tavern

this weekend -- regular song session on Sunday night

Next weekend-   lots of extra sessions as part of the Folk festival
especially our session on Saturday 30th.

Incidently our regular session at the Tavern is 3rd Tuesday of the month.
