Sounds like a damn good concert on the above ship in Southampton dock (moored!), on November 12th. Jack Hudson, Malcolm Bishop and others!
More info' can be gleaned from then go to 'more info' for November'. (Yes! I did try the 'make a link' facility.)
There will be security employed to prevent 'Traddies' from setting the ship adrift.
I'm looking forward to it.

I genuinely and sincerely hope your concert is very different from the previous cargo of the SS Shieldhall :<)>

"We re the crew of the SS Shieldhall/ Pull the chain and we answer the call/ When we pass the aroma, would put ye in a coma/ We re the crew of the SS Shieldhall."
By Matt McGinn

If I remember correctly, it was affectionately known in Glasgow as "the sludge boat", and I remember hearing that it was possible to go for a cruise on it.

Although I don't actually know anyone who went on it.
In person, as it were.

Re: Shieldhall
Folk singer, Ron Duncan from Glasgow, now of New York does a great performance of Shieldhall. He has a lovely tenor voice. The kind that Fiona Richie cannot stand.

The SS Shieldhall is a great song, but not by Matt McGinn. It was written bt John Murphy and recorded by The Laggan on the Nevis LP 'Unity Creates Strength' and produced by me.
