Subject: Origins: Saltzganmergut From: Roger the Skiffler Date: 09 Aug 06 - 04:45 AM I've been doing a quiz trying to link songs to the musical they first appeared in. Mostly it is going OK but this title doesn't even get a Google response. Is it a spelling mistake???Anyone know this. Lehar?? RtS (Lonnie D never recorded it!!!) |

Alles gute. -Joe Offer- Here (click) is the Wikipedia article on the Salzkammergut, the beautiful region east of Salzburg. Our tour bus took us through that area all too quickly last year, on our way from Salzburg to Vienna. -Joe Offer- |

Subject: RE: Origins: Saltzganmergut From: Joe Offer Date: 09 Aug 06 - 05:21 AM Where's the Salzkammergut song, Roger? I have a book called Show Tunes that might be able to help, if you give more information... (or is that cheating?????) -Joe- |

Subject: RE: Origins: Saltzganmergut From: Wolfgang Date: 17 Aug 06 - 03:53 PM If "Salzkammergut" means the song "Im Salzkammergut, da kammer (kann man) gut lustig sein..." that would be from Benatzky and not Lehar. The musical is "Im weissen Rössl am Wolfgangsee" whatever the English title may be. Wolfgang |
