Subject: RE: Barton, Beds - July things From: Ross Date: 21 Jul 05 - 04:45 AM Cheers Bert - you and John B/Trevor had a cracker - John P seemed out of sorts - Thanks to Pat for being the audience I was sensationally out of sorts - nothing I did; seemed to sound okay to my ears and I was hopeless at deciding what to play It must have been the full moon I think I'll look at getting a more versatile effects pedal - maybe that will make my guitar sound a bit more interesting At least I went shopping around the Co-op/got me divi |
Subject: RE: Barton, Beds - July things From: Bertie Date: 21 Jul 05 - 05:26 AM I will thank Pat for you - she loves the music evenings. I thought you played and sung well - there was a full moon. Perhaps the fangs were getting in the way. Would you like to borrow my effects peddle for a while - zoom - the power supply is crocked but I will fix it before the next singer-round. I thought you went out to by a couple of cans of beer? |

Subject: RE: Barton, Beds - July things From: Ross Date: 29 Jul 05 - 04:45 AM Hi Bert The Blue Anchor is a bigger version than Barton - it's all held in the saloon bar - quite a big room - you can ride a horse in it Same format - go around the room - sometimes it's two songs each per go - It depends on the numbers there The hosts train a searchlight on you whilst you sing and a flock of seagulls fly around the room (all dressed as the pope) Nothing to worry about then Bert - don't wear dark clothes |
Subject: RE: Barton, Beds - July things From: Bertie Date: 29 Jul 05 - 05:10 AM Thanks Ross see you tues - I will chat with you for whos taking who in the lime light eh Is that the northern Piers |
Subject: RE: Barton, Beds - July things From: Piers Date: 29 Jul 05 - 05:41 AM Yes, that is the northern Piers. I am well thanks. I haven't done much singing lately or got much gossip. I have been working for the man and stuff. I am meeting Martin from Barton tomorrow, in a place called Hardraw. It sounds rather like the title of a porno movie. Julie Felix is going to be there. I knew she was fairly liberal minded so I'm not sure what to expect. We'll see. All the best to the Barton le Clay folkies! |
Subject: RE: Barton, Beds - July things From: Bertie Date: 29 Jul 05 - 06:33 AM Hi Piers I still have some of your music recorded when you came over to the Hertsmere eveings. Give Martin my regards. Have a nice weekend |
