This has been posted to UK music folk ...

Please see announcement below, many apologies for the short notice.

Thank you all for your help and support.

Dave Newson, Artistic Director,
Wallingford BunkFest.
d...@bunkfest.co.uk
www.bunkfest.co.uk

The Board and Members of BunkFest Ltd have reluctantly taken the decision to
cancel Wallingford BunkFest 2007 in its advertised format. The reasons for
this are a substantial shortfall in grant and sponsorship funding coupled
with factors caused by the recent spate of bad weather.

We would like to thank all the unpaid volunteers who have worked hard on
preparations for the festival.

All advance ticket bookings will be refunded in full within the next few
days.

A further announcement will be made regarding BunkFest 2008. A fundraising
event is being planned for Saturday 1st September to help secure BunkFest
2008 and future festivals.

Well, some of the people who used to come to the Wareham Wail opted for the Bunkfest instead in recent years because it was nearer home. It would be great to see you at the Wail(especially members of Maidenhead FC).

Kitty
