Subject: RE: Walthamstow Folk Club Tune Session From: Kevin Sheils Date: 12 Jan 10 - 04:07 AM Also remember that, since the beginning of the year, Oyster cards are now accepted at Wood Street station opposite the pub, so if coming from Central London the quickest route may be Liverpool Street Ma\in Line station to Wood Street on the Chingford Line. 17 minute journey, trains usually leave from the low numbered platforms 1-5 |

Subject: RE: Walthamstow Folk Club Tune Session From: GUEST,Alison Scott Date: 10 Jan 11 - 09:39 AM The regular Walthamstow session is moving from January 2011, as the previous venue (the Plough) is closing. The new session venue is an upstairs room at the Nags Head, 9 Orford Road London E17 9LP. maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=E17+9LP It is nearly on the walking route from Walthamstow Central to the Plough. Do look at the map, as the wrong end of Orford Road is a way away. Our first visit is Tuesday 11th January from 8pm so please feel welcome to come along and help make the evening a success. All being well we will continue as a monthly session on second Tuesdays, generally having a month off in August. We start slow and steady at 8 and about 9ish we have a break and a raffle, then play a bit faster. All acoustic instruments welcome. More info on the Walthamstow Folk Club website, www.walthamstowfolk.co.uk/sessions.htm |
