Does anyone remember who recorded this waaaay back in our youths? I remember it from the 1970s, but I can't remember who did it, so don't know where I could order a CD.

Anyone have the lyrics and chords?

WW

"Seven Bridges Road" was written by Steve Young.

It's on several of his albums, most recently "Solo/Live."

It's also been done by a bunch of others people including the Eagles, Rita Coolidge, and Tracy Nelson/Mother Earth.

WyoWoman,

Your two likeliest sources are The Eagles or Joan Baez.

I found the song on Roughstock.com. There are chords and Tablature (forget you ever heard that word) if you just search for seven bridges road. Here are the words:

Seven Bridges Road

There are stars in the southern sky,
Southward as you go.
There is moonlight and moss in the trees,
Down the seven bridges road.

There are stars in the southern sky.
And if ever you decide you should go.
There is a taste of thyme sweet and honey.
Down the seven bridges road.

Sometimes there's a part of me
(That) wants to turn from here and go.
Running like a child from these warm stars,
Down the seven bridges road.

Enjoy the song. The chord structure seems pretty simple, you might try strumming it.

There's a semi-abandonded site that I feel a bit sorry for:- kywebs.com/SteveYoungOnline/index.htm

John Yes, the web sites frequently die or fade to rust.

I looked up the Joan Baez site to try to get the lyrics and I couldn't connect. Makes me wonder what happened.

Ah, yes. It was Tracy Nelson I heard. Thanks for jogging my memory, Mike.

RiB, thank you for the words. I'll go out and find that site now and start a'strummin'.

Best, WW
