First of all...I hope I'm right that BS stands for the usual, like bullcrap. Right?

I'm new here although this is not my first post, and I'm just wondering if anyone else posts their written articles at Themestream.com. Of course, then, you have to say your real identity, and some people don't want to do that.

I have two columns there, one for crochet, and one for rhymes/odd verse, etc. -- as well as whatever misc. things I write.

I got some good assistance right here at Mudcat, when I recently asked about Doves/White Birds.

Welcome to the mudcat, granny. I just checked out themestream. They do two major "no-no's" that would keep me from voluntarily using the site.

a) they use popup windows.

b) their windows "grab" control of my browser.

in addition the site appears to be very slow, and quite cumbersome to use.

There DOES appear to be some interesting information out there though.

hmmm...I just click away the pop-ups, and usually it's not too slow, but it depends.

Hmm..it's usually not too slow, but I guess it depends. Yeah, the pop-ups are a pain, but there's only one when you first sign on, and I just click it away.

My browser must react differently then yours. I was getting a new seperate popup window with every screen I opened. and the pages were taking about three to six times times as long to load as either the mudcat or contemplator.com does. THEN - themestream would grab control away while I was doing something else - very very very irratating.
