I am trying to find the lyrics for the song from the movie Babe, If I had Words for my daughter who loves the movie. Can't find them anywhere. Can anyone help?

That was a topic in a previous thread. Now, if I did this right, you should be able to reach the lyrics by clicking here. If I didn't do it right, I guess I'll have to live in eternal shame. Good movie, wasn't it?

Hi Joe

I might be wrong, (it *does* happen sometimes ;-> ) and I only saw the second half of the movie, but I think the words are "golden and new" rather than "golden and true".

I may have the advantage of being from Oz and being able to speak the lingo, but then again I've always been the world's worst at hearing song lyrics - I'd much rather listen to the music than the words most of the time.

Hey, that was Gene that typed the lyrics. As far as I'm concerned, Helen, you can say whatever you like about the accuracy of his typing - or the lack thereof.....

Hi

In the movie they do sing "golden and true". (and I should know because I get to see this movie at least once a week!!!! My 2 year old loves it because she can make all the animal noises.It's as well that it's a good movie. )But I remember the original as being "Golden and new."

In my video version (as I recall) Farmer Hoggett sings "golden and true", while at the end title the mice sing "golden and new".
