live365.com there are some pretty cool stations on it. But you need to download a program from them, I think. (A while since I've been there.)

I just tried out the site for some classic country tunes. It goes through a setup and gives you a choice of streaming MP3 players. You can allow it to load theirs or you can tell them you want them to use the player you already have loaded. I chose to play it through MusicMatch since I already have that one a suspeced that they might be installing some advertising spyware on my system.

Enter net radio search in google. A lot shows up. If you have Real Player, they have a long list as well. Like Mark, after taking a look at 365, I worried about advertising too.

My favorites on live365: the swedish fiddle tune station, the Maltese folk music station, the all Ricky Nelson station, and the netherlands highway patrol channel.

I go in spurts & have been listening to Hober more lately. My favorite live365 presets are on:
Carolina Bluegrass -- bluegrass, folk, Celtic and non-Nashville country.

'Sugar in the Gourd' Old Time Country (pre-Bluegrass): Appalachian / String ... [Editor's pick]

OzarkMountainAirWaves-BlueGrass Music [Editor's pick]

Appalachian Old Time Throwdown

There are several Smithsonian Folkways stations.
