Some may enjoy the Traditional Irish Music webpage of:

http://www.firepowr.com

Nice collection of crisp midis and some scores.

Sincerely,
Gargoyle

Gargoyle, do you think I could play one of those midis through my digital four track recorder and lay down some instrumental tracks over a tune????

And on this page [http://www.firepowr.com/mode.html] of the site there are illustrations of modes and gapped scale in Irish music. (you can hear examples)

Well yes....Ms. McMaster's presence certainly doesn't hurt a site, but any novices who might want a simple and concise explanation of instrumental Irish music will find this place helpful. They also manage to include Michael Flatley's efforts to "take it to the masses" without dumping on him. (something I haven't always been able to do!)

Gracias GG

Rick
