I have got this 'oribble' song called 'Hey! Sandy' going around in my head, I think that's what it is called. If I can find out where it comes from maybe I will be able to forget it.

Does that make sense? No I didn't think it did.

Christy Moore recorded a song called hey sandy I think it is on an album called the Iron Behind the velvet, if not there try moore lunny et al Live in Dublin

It is on Christy Moore's "Live in Dublin (1979)" (without looking it up I too would have said it's on Iron behind the velvet). The lyrics are on the Unofficial Christy Moore webpage

It was the one by Harvey Andrews. Looking at the lyics the song is not as bad as I thought it was, just the chorus is it little irritating. But it might have just been the version I heard? Thanks all.
