For those of you who didn't hear it Desmond Carrington played Cherish The Ladies'version of The Ballad Of The Foxhunter on his show this evening & I thought that it was tremendous & well worth listening to again on the beeb's web site although there's probably an even better link somewhere.

Good to hear that Cherish The Ladies are returning to the UK to appear at the Wickham Festival in Hampshire on Friday August 3. It's not up on the Festival website yet but I gather they'll be doing two sets that day. As Wickham also has the likes of Eliza Carthy; Kathryn Tickell; Eddi Reader; Dean Friedman; Jethro Tull; The Spooky Mens Chorale; Ashley Hutchings and many more it promises to be a great Festival.

See www.wickhamfestival.co.uk

One of these days I'll work out how to make that a 'blue clicky'!
