Hi Wolfgang, I saw you resurrected this thread in the unanswered queries thread. I used to have this on a City Waites album, but I can't find it. However, I had a trawl around the net for City Waites and came up with reference to a recent City Waites album that includes. I shall certainly order the CD because the City Waites are a wonderful folk/early music fusion group and the track listing is very attractive. The record company is ARC (UK):

Other than that above, the only information I have for it at present is that it is attributed to John Southcott (at present, I have forgotten where the attribution comes from). I haven't found any lyrics on the web, but I'll go and poke round my books for a day or two to see if I come up with anything.

Stewie, thanks for the info on the City Waites. This sounds like it might a compilation CD of stuff from some of the old vinyl recordings. Their "England Be Glad" is great!

Hi John,

As I said, I had an album with it on, but it has gone walking. The one I still have is self-titled (SKL 5264 Decca 1976). The only overlap with above CD track listing is 'Pastime with good company'.
