Looking more, I doubt that it's what you want. I did find that it's by Adger M. Pace. The music is for sale in Bill Gaither Presents - Homecoming Souvenir Songbook, Volume V

I've sung it this way for thirty years. Its on a Doc and Merle LP called Nashville Now or Nashville Again or maybe just Nashville.

this is just a wonderfull song i heard doc sing it in concert 10/11/98 in geneva ny............2 years later someone i know happend to be at this concert and taped it....i learned the song on guitar from this tape and cant stop playing it elliott
