Alan Bell - Fylde Folk Festival Director has noted that there have been a lot of enquiries re The Fylde Folk Festival asking if it has been affected by the Foot and mouth outbreak.

The answer is a resounding NO -

The festival will go on as usual.

Are there any Folk Festival going to be cancelled because of the outbreak? as yet I haven't heard of any - lets us know maybe we could start a list?

The list would be extremely small, as no festivals will be closed because of Foot and Mouth.

The countryside is open for business.

Middlewich Folk and Boat Festival was canceled due to foot and mouth - it should have been a couple of weeks ago.

Broadstairs Folk Week will definately go ahead. No sites are near animals so it won't be affected even if the outbreaks continue.
