Subject: Irish Mandolin Tune Book Volume One
From: GUEST,derrymacash at work

Aidan Crossey - aka derrymacash in this peculiar corner of cyberspace - has put together volume one of a tune book aimed at mandolin and tenor banjo players.

The one hundred tunes in this volume are represented in mandolin tablature format and include a large number of tunes from the tradition as well as a number which I've written myself.

Volume Two is "in production", but - as you will see when you visit - putting this kind of resource together takes a lot of time. Expect to see V2 in a few months!

So here's the link! Aidan Crossey's Irish Mandolin Tune Book Volume One.

Pay The Reckoning's home page is here.

A Aidan, a chuisle,

Go hiontach ar fad! Even though I'd started my own 'tome of Aidan's tunes'; you've saved me a lot of work by putting them all in one place. Thanks ever so ;-)

You've done a fantastic job with Vol. One, and I'll be looking for Vol. Two with high hopes.

Ádh mór ort, Áine

(P.S. Did you ever get a chance to listen to the soundfile I sent you?)

Ard Mhacha is right about Aidan's midi files, they're fantastic. But, hearing the boy play for real is even better. He is a master on the mando -- and don't get me started about his singing -- I'll just embarrass the lad. ;-)
