I'm trying to educate myself in the ways of the computer and have found some useful stuff in the permathreads regarding HTML commands for script, headings, fonts, etc. Can anyone point me to a listing of other Hypertext commands and shortcuts that could be useful to a kak-handed-computer-klutz?
Thanks, Cb

The official list of all HTML can be found here HTML 4.01 - especially look at "elements"

Be careful what you put here at Mudcat, though. Certain things are frowned upon.

Could you be more specific? I'm not planning anything outrageous, just a little education. What are the do's and don'ts?

Thanks MudGuard, there's masses of stuff that I don't understand in there but I'm sure I'll manage to figure out a couple of the simple ones without causing offence to anyone. :~)

the break command and the URL (blue clicky) are about all you NEED to have ...I like being able to strike or underline or do italics also....

...and if you want to do some cutesy colors
, you will probably need a helper program...I do NOT write that code..*grin*...I use HTML Font Colorizer

Joe Offer's and other's hints in the permathreads will do about all you need.

C Flat

I've found w3schools.com to be one of the best html tutorials around.

In terms of the 'don'ts' at mudcat, I think that the main ones are embedding images and using tables.

Any text formatting should be fine

Thanks for the tips........I've got absolutely no idea what an embedding image is and I trust that what I do on my kitchen table is my own affair so Mudcat needn't lose any sleep over me.
Bill D.....that's just showing off! :~)
