I notice in an ad in the READER for his concert tonight(7/24 at Chicago's Navy Pier's Skyline Theater) that his last name is spelled with an "H" and not a "K". What's this all about?

And I also wonder what a newspaper article would say if Bruce Cockburn was ever bitten by a "cockbra snake"?

Art - that has to be a typo. His name is Cockburn, pronounced Co-burn.

That would be a 4-cup. Sounds possible. Bruce Cockburn is a great artist with an odd surname, but he has managed to do well in spite of it.
