Subject: Tune Req: Dots for 'Feed the Ducks' Liz Doherty From: Lady Nancy Date: 02 Mar 03 - 05:45 PM Liz Doherty's CD "Last Orders" has a WONDERFUL set of jigs called "Feed the Ducks" Anyone out there got:- (a) titles for the 3 tunes in the set, and/or (b) the dots or a link to the dots so I can learn them? I'm in love with those tunes... First heard them at a Yorkshire Dales Workshops concert prior to a Fiddlers Meet weekend. Her workshops were utterley brilliant, too. Thanks, guys. Waiting to hear from you..... Lady Nancy |

If you have the CD and can record it to your hard-drive, you can get free Notation Software which will print out sheet music for you, from the sound file. Works a treat! Thanks, kat |

That said, the Little White Duck was one I don't recall hearing, nice words for singing to the ducklings if I knew the tune. I am not into Disco Duck, but there are some nice animated gifs of ducks on the web page. Some of the other songs on the same website are much better as songs. Thanks for the thought! Quack! Geoff. |
Subject: RE: Tune Req: Dots for 'Feed the Ducks' Liz Doherty From: Nigel Parsons Date: 03 Mar 03 - 06:25 AM Geoff Little White Duck if this is good for the kids the music plays at this site. When listening it gives an eight count with the first note of the melody coming in on the eighth. Nigel |
Subject: RE: Tune Req: Dots for 'Feed the Ducks' Liz Doherty From: katlaughing Date: 03 Mar 03 - 10:17 AM Geoff, it is called MidiNotate and you can get a free trial version at Notation Software. Also, if you put that in the search engine, here, you will find a lot of references to its use, etc. in the threads. This is where I learned of it. It's really great...the music it spits out looks published, just superb. Thanks, kat |
