Really Oombanjo fancy suggesting "Kick the Dog" it's about time this traditional method of obtaining a note to tune the Banjo to was abolished.

If this competition goes on the size of the Derriere I'm afraid that I wont get passed go, but if you are talking of going south, I keep taking the backs of my shoes. As for the competition in Hebden Bridge, that sounds more like a scene from Last of the Summer Wine, but ye gods. The thought of the imprint of Norah Batty's stockings is enough to win any competition.

Well oombanjo I was wondering if the Bridlington do was on again this year as I was thinking of paying it a visit if it was on.

Failing that or as well as why not get over to the Holmfirth Festival of Folk on the 8th 9th 10th of May I'm sure you could make your mark in Ray Paget's annual Wibberly Wobberly walking workshop see the thread for details. You need to book for Camping as it's limited however it is open to all who attend festival.

May Day O.T.Fest is on at Sewerby. Details will be posted this weekend, and they are on the FOAOTMAD web site. I have forgotten the amount of times that I have joined the wobberly way with Ray Johnny and others at the Beverley Fest, but it would be good to see them back again. Cheers Oomandnewbanjo.

Caravan again but a diferent one from last year due to leaving the roof light up on the way home last year. Got fed up looking for a new one so I bought another Caravan instead with an awning. Should be ok as long as I don't forget to take the awning down before setting off home. I promise I will put my VW Camper back on the road one of these day's.

Just a reminder that we are playing at the Fusion Bar in Beverley this coming Wednesday (23rd April). Starting time is 8pm and we will be playing three, 40 min sets.

The Fusion Bar (formerly Wednesdays Restaurant) is in Wednesday Market, Beverley and entry is free.

As it turned out there was a hen night of about 30 souls booked in for a meal and drinking. Very noisy but we won out and got them up dancing. for some reason (before the dancing)they latched onto Brownsferry Blues and gave that a rousing reception.

We are hoping for a quieter, though not less enthusiastic, audience at The Tiger on May 17th.

Oh, by the way, Hariwatts are playing at the Tapas Bar venue a few days earlier on May 14th.
