Hi, Leadbelly. No, I've never heard of Howard Stith. I came to know 'Chicken Cordon Bleus' from a Steve Goodman LP. Dear Steve!

I'll look into Howard Stith.

Thought of another song:

Birth of the blues.

Has anybody mentioned 'Rhapsody in Blue'?

Good grief. What's next, a thread about songs with the word "I" in the title?

"Good grief. What's next, a thread about songs with the word "I" in the title?"

topical tom: This remark made by Lonesome EJ is exactly what can be characterized by "disturbing/destroying" a thread.

Obviously, this thread doesn't come up to his intellectual level so he decided to become destructive instead of ignoring your thread.

Don't be disappointed about EJ's comment which lacks of any humour. The majority of Mudcatters are highly constructive people.

Thanks for the support, Leadbelly. I usually ignore such comments.

Just found this thread and I LOVE it. Is there any more? Is there really an Upper-middle Class Blues (which begins 'woke up this afternoon')?

Didn't see Gulf Cost Blues (Mildred Bailey)
or Match Box Blues (Blind Lemon J)

cheers,   Ella

Has anyone mentioned MY UKULELE HELPS ME BEAT THE BLUES? It can be heard on the Highwater Jug Band's myspace page.

Lest we ever forget the great Charlie Patton.
